Welcome to EAT PDF Print E-mail

The EAT project is a European funded project which started in November2007 and finished in October 2009. The main aim of the project was linking health education with foreign language and intercultural learning, using a cross-curricular approach. Have a look at our video summary of the EAT project.

We developed a course for primary school teachers (including headmasters and inspectors) interested or experienced in intercultural language learning. This course provides a model for intercultural learning through (virtual) exchange and task based learning. Also teachers who would like to try out innovative strategies and new models of teaching are invited to the course. We aim to:

- investigate learning methods and tendencies in early language learning and their theoretical basis;
- overview of tools and materials suitable for intercultural learning;
- develop and discuss a model for intercultural language learning;
- learn to use Eating Abroad together educational material;
- create video records of all course activities for sustainable use of course content;
- to exchange best practices and transfer of knowledge to others.
